This project aimed to develop the evidence base that supports the EA's understanding of future risk and investment needed for flooding and coastal erosion in England and Wales over the next 25 years.

The study included the use of an ecosystem services framework to identify additional benefits and dis-benefits resulting from flood and coastal risk management measures. A further follow-up study was undertaken in 2012-13.
